What a plugin audit turns up

Most sites collect plugins over the years. A few of them cause most of the weight and risk. Here is a typical audit. Switch views to see what we fix.

What every plugin audit covers

We look at each plugin for risk and weight, decide what to keep, fix, replace or remove, and test every change.

How many plugins is too many? There’s no magic number. One heavy or abandoned plugin can do more harm than twenty light ones, so we judge each one on its own.

An audit, not just a scan

A scanner tells you which plugins have known holes. An audit decides what to keep, fix, replace or remove, and tests it.

Straight answers on risk, time and results.

Still unsure? Ask a WordPress expert

What does a plugin audit check?

Every plugin’s version, last update, known vulnerabilities and load, and whether it duplicates or conflicts with another plugin.

Will you delete plugins I need?

No. We tell you what we plan to remove or replace and why, test it on staging, and push only the changes you approve.

Do inactive plugins matter?

Yes. Inactive plugins still sit on the server, and an old one with a known hole can still be attacked. If you don’t use it, we remove it.

What’s an abandoned plugin?

One that hasn’t been updated in a long time or was pulled from WordPress.org. We replace it with a maintained option when there is one.

Do I need to move my site to WP Farm?

No. We audit plugins on any host. On WP Farm hosting, plugins and core also get weekly updates after the audit.

How long does it take?

Most sites are done in 3 to 7 days. Large WooCommerce or membership sites can take up to 14 days.

What if my site isn’t faster after the audit?

You don’t pay. That’s our Fast or It’s Free Guarantee. If we can’t resolve the issue within the agreed scope of work, no charge is applied to your account.
